TIP 17
Studying creation
Family without children
Go to a park, square, or your garden and observe for a moment how many different animals and plants you can see and hear. Choose some of these creations and meditate on them, on how they reveal the greatness of our creator and how different they can be. If you know your region, you can look for articles in Awake! which tells us a little more about Jehovah’s creation.

The day before family worship, ask everyone to choose one or two animals from the list below. On the day of family worship, ask each person to tell you about the animal/animals they chose and what they liked most about them. After that, go outside your house and see how many different animals and plants you can find. How do they represent the greatness of our creator? Why do you think this is a show of love?

A good idea, if possible, is to take your son/daughter to the zoo so he/she can observe and meditate on Jehovah’s creations, as well as the greatness and differences of each animal or plant. Ask your son/daughter what he/she likes most about each animal, how big or how small it can be, and what colors it has.
Going to the zoo isn’t always a viable option, so if you don’t have that option, don’t worry. Take your family to your backyard, a square, or a park where you know there is nature, and observe how many animals, flowers, and plants you can see or hear. What colors? Is it big or small? What do they like most about each one? If possible, prepare a picnic or take some fruit and show how the difference in flavors, colors, and textures reflects God’s love for us.
