Family Worship – tip 4
TIP 4
Dramatized Bible reading
Family without children
Choose a Bible passage that your family can take advantage of. Then ask them to choose a character from the passage. Then start reading the account aloud in its entirety in the Bible, each reading according to the chosen character. If the chosen story is big, one is enough, if it is small, try to make more than one in your family worship. Ask what they learned from the story and each character, as well as how to apply what they have learned today.

Choose a Bible passage that your family can take advantage of and ask them to read it in advance. In your family worship, ask them to choose a character from the passage. Read the account aloud in its entirety in the Bible, each according to the character chosen. Try to give emotion to the reading and put yourself in that character’s place. Choose a story that is not too small, but also not too big so that reading is not tiring. After doing the dramatized reading, ask what they took advantage of the story and each character, as well as how to apply what they have learned today. It is important that you as parents also comment on what you have learned from the story and what it motivates you to do as well.
