It Makes A Difference
Helping people can make all the difference in their lives, see this example:
A man was walking along the beach when he saw a child who was bending down, picking something up from the sand and throwing it into the sea.
As he got closer, he saw that it was starfish that the boy was throwing into the water. So he asked:
– What are you doing?
– I’m putting these starfish back in the water, otherwise they will die on the beach, replied the young man.
– Boy… said the man, with an air of sage, there are thousands of these starfish in the sand. You won’t have time to save them all, and in the end, it won’t make any difference if you save half a dozen.
Then the boy bent down and picked up another starfish and threw it back into the sea and said:
– It made a difference to this one I just threw into the sea, now it’s safe.
So the man walked away and from a distance he could see that the boy continued to throw the starfish into the water.

Matthew 24:14 says: "And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
Conclusion: We may think that our participation in preaching makes no difference and that it matters little to help just one person. But as we saw in this illustration, it does make all the difference, after all if we help just one person, it made a difference for that person, because he or she was saved.
