God Never Abandons Us!

In many cultures and indigenous tribes it is common to carry out the so-called “Rite of passage”. Which often means, for young ones, facing fear in the face of challenges.

See an example:

A native Indian father leads his son through the dark forest in the late afternoon, climbs the mountain with him, blindfolds him, and leaves him alone.

The boy sits down and spends the night alone, in absolute darkness.

If he wants to pass, he can’t remove the blindfold until dawn. Also, he cannot cry or scream for help.

If he lasts all night, he will be considered a man. And like the others who came before him, he will not be able to share his experience with the next candidates, because each one must become a man in his own way, facing the fear of the unknown. He, of course, is frightened.

His fear makes he hear all kinds of noise. Wild animals can be close by. Perhaps Indians from an opposing tribe find him and kill him. Insects will torment he. Snakes terrify him. He feels cold, hungry and thirsty. The wind blows and even the ground seems to move. Everything looks threatening to him, but he doesn’t remove the blindfold.

According to this custom, this is the only way for him to become a man. It is the rite of passage from childhood to adulthood.

Then the night passes and the boy hangs on until morning.

Finally, after this horrible night, the sun comes out and the boy can now remove the blindfold. To his surprise he then sees his father sitting nearby, who spent the entire night taking care of him, without his noticing.

What do we learn from this?

Hebrews 13:5 says:
“For he has said: “I will never leave you, and I will never abandon you.””

"Yes, Jehovah always takes care of us, even if we don't realize, He is always there taking care of us."

Always remember that you are not alone, Jehovah will always be with you carefully watching your way, and even if you don’t realize it, he will always help you. That’s why we must always be loyal to Him.
