Family Worship – tip 7

Do some research of the ark of the covenant, leave this part only for adults or older children. Then tell them about what you found, or ask them to read some of the research out loud and talk about what you discovered and what they understood and learned. For example, how it was built, what was in it, what it looked like, what it represented, whether there were rules on how to handle it and what a pact is. You can distribute a portion of the survey to each family member too. After researching, present the information obtained and learned and ask “What did I learn from the ark of the covenant?” “What did I learn about God from the ark of the covenant?” After making this consideration, you can also make a replica using the specifications you found in your search, as well as appearance, color and what was in it. You can choose to do in the same study or in the next family worship.

You can use a cardboard box, gold colored wrapping paper and cardboard cutouts to detail the ark and its contents.
