TIP 18

The size of Noah’s ark

Family without children

Access the link below and re-read together chapter 2 of the book Imitate Their Faith. After reading, highlight what you liked most and write down the measurement information for the ark. Make a scale drawing or go to a place, like a field, that resembles the size of the ark, either in length or height, and ask yourself how you would go about building something so big today, without using any modern construction machines or tools.

Family with children - teenagers

As a family, re-read chapter 2 of the book Imitate Their Faith and write down the measurements of the ark. After reading, highlight the main points and gather more information such as how many animals were present in the ark? How many different species? Was it only 1 pair of each animal?

With the measurements and sizes of the ark, go to a very large field and together mark the measurements of the ark, attaching a balloon to each end. If possible, raise a balloon to its actual height as well.
