Family Worship – tip 2
TIP 2
Study a character’s story in depth.
Family without children
Choose a character from the Bible that you want to study with more detail. Look for where his story begins and ends in the Bible, pick up a notebook or a sheet and give a short summary of his offspring. Then look for it in books and publications. Select in topics what you want to learn from him and in the end what you personally can change or improve according to what you have learned. Use the notebook or sheet to continue if you want to study other characters and create your book.
Family with children - teenagers
Choose a character from the Bible that you want to study in more detail in advance. Ask each family member to research something about him before the study. Report what you found in family worship and then dig deeper into researching together about descent in books and publications. What did this character teach? How can you personally apply what you have learned? What do you need to change or improve?

Family with children - children
Choose a biblical character and look for your story in the Bible. Choose one of the most remarkable events of this character that demonstrates what you want to teach your children. Then, make a theater. Dress up as the characters in the passage and read the Bible story by performing it with your children. You can act more than once by switching roles too. Then ask what your child (ren) learned from that character and what you can change or improve as a family.
“When God sees you and your family serving you heartily, he is very happy.”
