Family Worship – tip 21

Family Worship

TIP 21

Types of Preaching

Family without children

In this family worship, you will practice preaching, focusing on the type of preaching that you have the most difficulty with. Act out preaching from house to house in which the resident asks a difficult question, preaching with the cart with someone interested in a publication, or informal testimony in an everyday situation, such as at the market or on an outing.

Family with children - teenagers

In this family worship, you will practice preaching, focusing on the method that each one has the most difficulty with. Talk a little about each of the forms of preaching and then explain to the family which method each person finds most difficult to preach.

For each member, create a different situation that could happen within the preaching method that is most difficult. It could be a situation where the resident asks a difficult question, a testimony to a classmate, or taking advantage of everyday situations to give testimony that may not be being used.

Family with children - children

In this family worship session, you will discuss the preaching work and the opportunities we can take to share Jehovah’s words. Role-play with your children a situation where they can share a witness with the householder from door to door, how they can talk about God with their classmates, creating a situation in which a classmate or teacher asks them something that they can use to talk about Jehovah or with unbelieving family members.
