No need
“No need” is the title of this funny story, but it contains a very serious content. Have a good time!
During a great flood, a very religious but fanatical man does not leave his house at all.
When the water reached his feet, a gentleman, in a canoe, passed by and invited him to board, and the answer was:
“No thanks. God will save me.”
When the water was waist deep, two young men came in a motor boat and also offered help.
“I don’t need. God will save me” he answered again the same way.

When the water was already reaching the neck, the helicopter of the firefighters passed, rescuing the last people, and someone shouted for the man to cling to the rope to save his life.
And once again the stubborn replied: “I already told you I don’t need it. God will save me.”
The water began to rise higher and higher and the man then realized that he would drown, so he complained to God: “God… I trusted in you Lord. Why are you letting me drown?
And God replied: “Well… I sent you a canoe, a motorboat and a firefighter helicopter, what more do you want?”
"This book of the Law should not depart from your mouth, and you must read it in an undertone day and night, in order to observe carefully all that is written in it; for then your way will be successful and then you will act wisely." (Joshua 1:8)
This story makes us think of how many times we pray to Jehovah for his help, to guide and strengthen us, but at the same time we miss meetings, we fail to do our Bible reading or family worship, we fail to go to the field ministry.
How will Jehovah help us if we just sit there, like that man, waiting for the answer to appear? Jehovah speaks to us through the Bible, through the brothers and sisters in the congregation, in our family worship.
So, siblings, remember not to forget to do your daily Bible reading, read the daily text, do your family worship and don’t forget to attend meetings. By not doing this we could be missing out on Jehovah’s answer to us.
